Learn the basics of the theory and practice of counseling through a series of short video lessons. The case-based style of this course presents real-world scenarios to prompt discussion opportunities. You’ll gain a biblical perspective on how to more effectively minister to others through counseling.

Counsel your own heart as you prepare to counsel others
Develop a definition of biblical counseling
Identify and utilize Scripture references for specific human problems
Instructor:Dr. Wayne Slusser, Dean of Baptist Bible Seminary
Slusser is the dean of Baptist Bible Seminary. He teaches biblical counseling at BBS and previously taught and practiced it as co-pastor of a church plant in Missouri before coming to CSU. He teaches an adult Bible fellowship at Heritage Baptist Church in the Clarks Summit area. Slusser earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Biblical Studies with a New Testament concentration from BBS. His days as a Christian high school math and Bible teacher display his love for students and the passion he has for teaching.
Time to Complete:Learners will have 60 days from registration to complete the course. It is self-paced, with no need to be online at specific times.
